PHOTOS: Maryland women’s soccer falls to Illinois 3-2

Illinois scored three second-half goals to defeat Maryland 3-2 in women’s college soccer action Thursday night.

Alyssa Poarch scored the opening goal in the first minute of the match for the Terps but they were unable to extend their lead before halftime. The Fighting Illini responded in the second half, scoring three goals in 17 minutes. Mikayla Dayes scored her second goal of the season to pull Maryland within a score with 12 minutes remaining.
