MILWAUKEE – Georgetown University’s men’s lacrosse team dominated the BIG EAST postseason awards lists, garnering four major awards and posting seven Hoyas on All-BIG EAST teams. Tucker Dordevic was a unanimous selection as BIG EAST Attack Player of the Year, Will Bowen earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight season and Patrick Crogan was selected as the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year. Head Coach Kevin Warne and the staff of John Hogan, David Shriver and Jack Rowlett were also a back-to-back-to-back selection for the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year. Warne’s staffs had also previously won in 2015, 2018, 2021 and 2022.

The Hoyas had four players named All-BIG EAST First Team to go with a trio of Second Team honorees. Joining Bowen and Dordevic on the first team were midfielder Graham Bundy Jr. and faceoff specialist James Reilly. Second team honorees for the Hoyas included short stick defensive midfielder Dylan Hess and attackmen Jacob Kelly and Brian Minicus.

Bundy and Reilly are just the second and third Hoyas to ever earn three First Team All-BIG EAST nods, joining all-time Georgetown great Dan Bucaro (’19) with consecutive selections from 2017-19. Bundy and Reilly were also first team selections in 2021 and 2022. Prior to the BIG EAST, Brenan Cannon (’08), Steve Dusseau (’02) and Kyle Sweeney (’03) each had three First Team All-ECAC nods.

He joins Dylan Watson (’22) in 2022, Jake Carraway (’20, ’21) in 2021 and Bucaro in 2019. Bowen repeats as BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, the only player to achieve the feat twice in program history. Fellow defensive stalwarts Jerry Lambe (’08) and Sweeney had both previously earned ECAC Defensive Player of the Year honors twice.

Crogan is the third rookie to collect BIG EAST Freshman of the Year honors, joining fellow current Hoyas TJ Haley in 2021 and Bucaro in 2016. During Georgetown’s ECAC run, Trevor Walker and Sweeney were ECAC Rookies of the Year in 2004 and 2000, respectively.
