After a rough start in the Maryland 4A high school boys basketball playoffs, No. 2 Winston Churchill bounced back to earn a 70-53 victory over No. 7 North Point.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School boys basketball team avenged a January loss against their rivals by defeating Winston Churchill 66-60 Thursday, ending the Bulldogs’ 16-game undefeated streak.
In a competitive matchup, Churchill escapes Quince Orchard with a 54-41 victory to improve to 14-0.

The Eagles continued its stellar summer campaign, stopping the Cougars’ Cinderella run for the 62-50 win to win the 2021 league title.
In a back-and-forth affair, where the score was deadlocked multiple times, Ralph Martino hit the game-winner for National Christian Academy to help the Eagles escape with the 77-74 victory over Churchill.
In the second week of the Maryland Elite Varsity Summer League at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School Monday night, Poolesville High School displayed enough offense and staved off a late comeback by Quince Orchard to earn a 34-30 victory.
